The latest body was discovered on Saturday evening, September 12, intensifying concern about the deaths in and around Rhodesfield, east of Johannesburg.

Police have confirmed that the fourth body found in Kempton Park on Sunday is that of Moselakgomo.

The latest body was discovered on Saturday evening, adding to growing concern over a series of deaths that detectives say share several disturbing similarities.

the alleged perpetrator in the first case; police said he was the victim's boyfriend

Her death prompted Athletics South Africa to call for women to be able to run, walk and exercise without fearing for their safety.

“Let us not forget the families left behind by the deceased, who are mourning. The young 8-year-old daughter of Elizabeth ‘Tsontso’ Moselakgomo made the first calls highlighting her disappearance, which brought this to light. Society can follow in her footsteps to bring the perpetrator to light too,” said Rasilingwane.

The Gauteng Department of Health said two of the five women have now been identified by their families, including missing runner Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo.

According to Mataila, that's what prompted the child to alert relatives just "minutes" after her mother failed to return from her run at her usual time on Wednesday, 9 September.

Run With Sole founder Tumi Sole said residents learnt about the earlier deaths only after Moselakgomo disappeared. “At the very least, a warning should have been sent out,” he said.

Acting National Police Commissioner Puleng Dimpane has sent condolences to Moselakgomo's family.
